Click hereIn 1901, Johannes Larsen and Alhed Larsen, both of them painters, built their house on Møllebakken (Mill Hill) in Kerteminde, thereby creating not only an artistic framework for their home togehter, but also a hospitable gathering place for artists, writers and sculptors. With its 16 guest beds, it was a heaven of art and culture that made its mark in the intellectual life of Denmark for several decades.
Their home and gardens have been preserved in their original form and the modern exhibition buildings offer a large art collection and changing exhibitions.
A fairy tale room for children has tempting drawing activities and in the garden you can inspect the wild ducks, the tame geese and the chickens.
The homestyle Coffee House offers lunch or a variety of homemade pastries and cakes.
